TOKYO RELIFE CLINIC
— Advancing Healthy Lifespan through the Integration of Cellular Senescence Control and Regenerative Medicine —
Tokyo Relife Clinic (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Yoshiaki Furuyama) has entered into a formal joint research agreement with the Goda Laboratory, Endowed Chair on Cellular Senescence Control at the Graduate School of Science, the University of Tokyo, to collaborate in the field of regenerative medicine.
This partnership will bring together cutting-edge research on cellular senescence control and its clinical applications, with the goal of accelerating the social implementation of advanced technologies such as stem cells and exosomes. By tailoring safer and more effective therapeutic options to each patient’s needs, the initiative is expected to directly contribute to extending healthy lifespan.
Moreover, this collaboration is aligned with the global momentum in longevity and healthspan research, including contributions to international projects such as XPRIZE Healthspan, and will serve as an important foundation for expanding Japan’s research achievements to a worldwide stage.
【Background of the Study】
Exosomes are nano-sized vesicles that mediate intercellular communication and have attracted worldwide attention for their potential applications in aging control, disease treatment, and regenerative medicine.
However, many aspects of their mechanisms and optimal application methods remain unclear, and establishing solid evidence for clinical application is an urgent issue.
【Objectives of the Study】
This joint research aims to:
- Explore and develop innovative regenerative medicine approaches using exosomes
- Verify their safety and efficacy with the latest technologies
- Advance basic research toward future clinical applications
Specifically, experimental systems will be established both in vitro (laboratory experiments) and in vivo (animal models) to comprehensively analyze the effects of exosomes on living organisms. Based on these findings, their safety, efficacy, and potential applications will be evaluated, with a view to expanding into clinical studies as the research progresses.
